George expressed an enduring interest in hands-on hobbies – from constructing Lego sets to building model rockets – throughout his childhood. After high school, he decided to attend college at Bob Jones University, earning a BFA in Studio Art, with a focus in sculpture. He now resides in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina, where he creates a mix of abstract and representational artwork. George is often inspired by the elements of nature, with their shapes, colors, variety, and complexity, and often uses them as his subject matter and as the basis for his abstract forms. He also notices beauty and structure in the natural world and strives to highlight these characteristics in his work.
